KithKin Presents - Tokyo 2007
Well Tokyo was certainly on our list of places to go, and you should of seen our faces when we were invited by designers block to take the format of our successful London show to the heart of Tokyo design week.
Ian, Ed, Dave and Joss somehow justified the cost and accompanied the exhibition, and boy was it worth it.
The exhibition was to be shown in a 20ft-shipping container, and as always, we worked within the context, and confines of the space. In this case as the work was being flown out, space and weight was an issue. So it seemed only natural to display the work on recycled cardboard boxes, complete with English brand names, shipping a little quirky taste of England straight into the heart of Tokyo.
The exhibition went down a storm, the Japanese people were ever so lovely to us, and very industriously they even instigated a one-way system around our exhibition!
